Job Role

We are recruiting an enthusiastic Paralegal/Legal Secretary to join our property and private client department. Our firm has strong established client relations and excellent reputation resulting in a busy property and private client department. The Paralegal/Legal Secretary will benefit from working with highly experienced partners and team members in a friendly and supportive environment focusing on excellent service delivery to clients.

Duties

The Paralegal/Legal Secretary will support the firm as follows:

  • Maintaining efficient work flows on files from opening to closing and archiving
  • Dealing with initial telephone, email and in person enquiries
  • Providing quotes and onboarding clients
  • Conduct legal research relevant to the role
  • Drafting legal documents to include contracts, transfers, SDLT and Land Registry documents
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work with attention to detail
  • Progress conveyancing matters efficiently and updating clients
  • Managing Partner’s diary
  • Ensuring compliance with client confidentiality, Data Protection, SRA Standards and Regulations and AML requirements

About you

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in residential conveyancing in the role of Paralegal/Legal Assistant
  • Hold an LLB or CILEX qualification or be working towards these
  • Have effective and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess effective and efficient management and organisational skills
  • IT skills essential to include Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Driven to focus on client satisfaction
  • Be proactive in management of client matters in a fast paced environment
  • Willing to adopt to and support other private client areas of work
